My most recent tiny house getaway stay was at the adorable Tiny Digs Portland Hotel located in East Portland, just a few minutes from downtown Portland.
Portland has been on my radar for a while now, and I was finally able to put together a road trip up through Oregon to check out this fun tiny house hotel. If any of you are fans of Portlandia then you’re familiar with one of their skits called House for Sale

This cute little yellow caboose is named Arthur after the host Pam’s grandfather, in his memory of his passion for trains.
It’s can’t get anymore adventurous than staying in a train caboose!

A few things to do around the tiny house getaway….
Within a block of the Tiny Digs Hotel is a wonderful Cuban restaurant with all the delicious goodies called Pambiche
Empanadas are great options for a quick meal on the go or sit down on their outdoor patio and enjoy this dish called The Communista, with fritters, black beans and rice…
The Matador is just a few blocks away from the tiny house hotel offering traditional Mexican cuisine and of course drinks!
Grab a Rose’ Sangria and enjoy it outdoors…..
For breakfast check out Screen Door with traditional comfort food for the soul…..
It’s definitely worth a stroll through the Alberta Arts district to take in all the art funky vibe….
In less than 10 minutes from the tiny house hotel is downtown Portland!
Voo Doo Doughnuts on 3rd Ave. is the place to go if your an avid doughnut lover…..
Known for their voo doo doll shaped doughnut they have plenty of other fun themed doughnuts to treat that sweet tooth!
If you catch the Saturday Outdoor Market on the weekends, there are plenty of arts and crafts to choose from
I had to grab a huge cup of fruit covered in tajin!
Enjoy a stroll on the riverfront with the Williamette River and Burnside Bridge as your view…
Head out of the city into nature….
Another 10 minute drive heading west on Burnside Rd. you can also check out the popular outdoor area Washington Park
Full of activities for all ages to enjoy like, a Japanese Garden, Zoo, and plenty of trails to check out.
Continue further up to NW Skyline Blvd, and drive into the area known as Forest Park,.
Take the NW Newberry Rd. down to a parking area and join up with the Wildwood Trail that stretches the length of the entire Forest Park area.
What a treat to access all this surrounding beauty within a few minutes drive of downtown Portland! And take in these spectacular views of the whole city below….
